Summary

Azumo is seeking a highly experienced Software Architect to work remotely in Latin America. The role involves making high-level design choices, troubleshooting coding problems, collaborating with other experts, and ensuring software security. Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing and implementing software applications
• 1+ years of experience with PHP or equivalent server-side scripting language (Perl, Ruby, Python, etc)
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field
• Professional certification in software architecture, frameworks, or languages
• Demonstrated knowledge of web applications, cybersecurity and open source technologies
• Experience developing software utilizing various coding languages including Javascript, Node, React and more

Responsibilities

• Defines, adapts, assesses, documents and explains solution architecture and software architecture
• Identifies, avoids and minimizes technical and business risks for a project
• Collaborates with team members to determine best practices for functional and non-functional requirements
• Oversees and approves all final programs and products before formal launch
• Oversees and supports the coaching and training of team members to ensure all necessary employees are confident in the use of software applications
• Actively seeks ways to improve business software processes and interactions
• Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions
• Works independently; receives minimal guidance
• Ensures software security by developing programs to actively monitor the sharing of private information
• Oversees progress of development to ensure consistency with initial design

• Outstanding collaboration and communication skill are essential
• Experience overseeing customized development of processes for multiple projects simultaneously
• Extensive understanding of architectural styles and design patterns
• Professional experience analyzing code for weaknesses and errors, and overseeing plans to improve them
• Experience designing secure software systems based upon industry-specific specifications
