Software Developer Intern

Summary

The job is for a Software Developer Intern at DRW in Chicago. The intern will work on complex projects, collaborate with teams, and design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software solutions. The candidate should be pursuing a relevant science degree and have exposure to network programming, multi-threaded applications, computational intelligence, algorithms, real-time programming or GUI programming.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, mathematics or any related science discipline and have an expected graduation date between December 2025. and June 2026
• Have exposure to network programming (TCP/IP), multi‐threaded applications, computational intelligence, algorithms, real‐time programming or GUI programming
• Exhibit excellent software development skills in C++, Python, Java, C#, or C and a deep curiosity to learn and absorb new technologies quickly

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy proprietary software development solutions across the firm
• Collaborate with other software developers, quantitative traders, and researchers as well as business analysts in cross-functional team environments
