Summary

Join Clarity Services, Inc. as a Software Development Staff Engineer in Costa Mesa, CA! Design, write, and deliver software to enhance our AWS platform's performance and scalability. Manage the availability and performance of critical services, building automation to prevent issues. Develop automated responses for non-exceptional service conditions and contribute to our DevOps strategy for data analytics platforms on AWS. This role requires a strong background in cloud infrastructure solutions, agile development, and enterprise software design for data services and middleware. Telecommuting may be possible.

Requirements

  • Strong track record of design/implementing cloud infrastructure solutions on distributed computing platforms in large enterprises where scale and complexity have been tackled
  • Proven experience participating in agile development projects for enterprise-level systems component design and implementation
  • Deep understanding and application of enterprise software design for implementation of data services and middleware
  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Development Staff Engineer-related occupation
  • Experience conducting data analysis within a credit environment, demonstrating a strong ability to interpret financial data and credit risk
  • Experience in API and middle-tier development, with a focus on utilizing Ruby and ASP.Net Core/C#
  • Experience in Cloud Technologies, specifically, AWS, showcasing skills in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions
  • Experience in multiple programming languages, tools, and technologies, including Ruby, Python, Go, and other scripting languages
  • Experience with database design and management, including both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools to automate testing and deployment processes
  • Experience in automation tools and technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet, demonstrating the ability to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
  • Experience with Redis and MemCached for caching solutions, alongside proficiency in Sidekiq for asynchronous job queuing, significantly enhancing application performance

Responsibilities

  • Design, write, and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of our AWS platform
  • Manage end-to-end availability and performance of mission critical services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence
  • Build automated responses for non-exceptional service conditions
  • Assist in building out the DevOps strategy for hosting and managing our data analytics platforms in AWS cloud
