Summary

Join 540 as a Software Engineer and contribute to enhancing the efficiency of Department of Defense acquisition and procurement. You will be part of an Agile team developing and implementing web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Spring, Node, and Angular. This role involves working with modern technologies to improve data consistency and provide procurement specialists with better insights. The position offers a remote-friendly environment within the continental US and requires US citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Requirements

  • Possess 4+ years of software development experience
  • Have 2+ years of JavaScript / TypeScript experience
  • Be proficient in Node.js and/or NestJS
  • Have experience with Angular 2+
  • Have RESTful API / data-driven web application experience
  • Have Database experience (SQL)
  • Have Non-relational database experience (NoSQL)
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Be able to work independently (as if on an island) with clients, but also be a consummate team player
  • Have a #GetShitDone mentality
  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of several web applications that assist procurement specialists within the Department of Defense to help them become more efficient
  • Work within an Agile team focusing on full stack development with JavaScript / Typescript, Java, Spring, Node and Angular primarily

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience with Cucumber and/or Cypress
  • Have experience developing with Java
  • Have experience with the Spring framework
  • Have experience utilizing Docker
  • Have experience writing unit testing with Jest or Jasmine
  • Have experience with AWS
