Summary
Join Appfire, a remote-first company, as a Software Engineer on the Document Management team. You'll contribute to award-winning apps for Atlassian Confluence, implementing features, fixing defects, and writing automated tests. Requirements
- 2+ yearsβ experience as a software developer
- Experience as a web developer with Javascript or similar languages/technologies
- Understand asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
- Familiarity with a diverse range of technologies, including but not limited to Node.js, Typescript, and REST
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git
Responsibilities
- Work on some of the top apps for Atlassian Confluence
- Implement great features for products that users love using
- Be involved in the whole process from conceptualizing to the development and testing of new features and products
- Fix defects, write automated tests, and keep the high quality of the codebase
- Work independently and as part of our team
- Follow the best engineering practices: automated testing, code reviews, pair programming
Preferred Qualifications
- Any experience with the following technologies is a plus: AWS, Heroku, Jenkins, Github, Atlassian tools
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus
- Passionate about programming and want to learn more
- Demonstrated understanding of software development
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Self-driven, self-managed and efficient
- A person with great technical, interpersonal, and communication skills
