Summary

Join Clover's Business Enablement team as a Software Engineer and contribute to our mission of reinventing health insurance. You will be a key player in building user-friendly applications and improving healthcare systems. This role requires 3+ years of experience in software engineering with proficiency in Python, Javascript, and Typescript, as well as experience with SQL and cloud services. You will collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to develop and maintain features. Success in this role involves taking ownership of projects, participating in technical discussions, and demonstrating a strong understanding of system architecture. The position is remote.

Requirements

  • You have been a Software Engineer for 3+ years and have experience in Python, Javascript, Typescript
  • You are experienced in writing SQL queries in Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake, or other database systems
  • You can create and call Restful APIs
  • You have experience working with cloud services such as GCP or AWS

Responsibilities

  • Commit to simplifying the complexities of healthcare by building systems that multiply human efforts
  • Learn about new tools and technologies to solve problems and move our goals forward
  • Help the team define and maintain development practices that let us iterate quickly while maintaining quality β€” including writing tests and documenting key implementations
  • Work with Product Managers and operational staff to conceptualize new features
  • Taking ownership of updates to features like Enrollment or Health Risk Assessment
  • Actively participating in technical discussions and decision-making processes
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of system architecture and business domain

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with gRPC
