Software Engineer

Summary

Requirements

• Comfort in data workloads and customer data of different shapes is required!
• 5+ years experience building APIs & web applications (Backend Engineer, Frontend engineer, or similar)
• Proficient in React and state management tools
• Proficient in at least one OOP language: Python, TS, Scala, Golang, Java
• Care deeply about well designed & well documented APIs
• Care about mentorship of more junior teammates and growing together with your team
• Experience working in a cloud environment
• Experience with relational databases like SQL
• Experience as a tech lead
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in developing a world class product

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain effective APIs to support our customer’s insights
• Build and maintain delightful user experiences on those APIs
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements using a variety of tools
• Help build a growing engineering organization as an early leader
• Participate in an on-call rotation
• Build and tweak monitoring tools to understand feature viability in the wild
• Own the features you build end to end

Preferred Qualifications

• Earlier stage startup experience
• Experience with Flask or other python web frameworks
• Experience with React-Query, XState for frontend state management
• Experience with data integrations with third party sources
