Software Engineer

Summary

Join Samsara's Global Compliance team as a Software Engineer and contribute to building systems that manage commercial driver time limits, ensuring compliance. You will design and develop full-stack features using technologies like Golang, GraphQL, TypeScript, and React. This remote position, based in Poland, requires experience in designing and building scalable software systems. You'll collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions. The role involves maintaining production systems and fostering a positive team culture. Requirements

• 4+ years of experience designing and building products in a skilled software engineering team
• Track record of leading design, development, deployment and maintenance of distributed, highly scalable software systems
• Experience taking end-to-end ownership of product, feature designs, development and delivery of large scale and long running projects
• Proactive growth mindset, always looking at ways to improve the status quo

Responsibilities

• Work with product managers, designers and engineers to architect, build, test and deliver full stack features across front-end, back-end and mobile
• Be responsible for maintaining the production systems that your team owns and provide operational support
• Help build the culture of the team and make it an enjoyable place to work
• Solve problems that enable our product for our global customers
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar programming languages
• Experience in developing, deploying and maintaining distributed, highly scalable software
• A desire to solve complex problems and continuously improve our systems as new, exciting use cases present themselves
