Software Engineer, Backend

Summary

Join BVNK's Embedded Payments and Onboarding squad as a key contributor to our modern payment infrastructure. You will collaborate with product and compliance teams to ensure secure and compliant customer onboarding. This role involves building and maintaining high-performance, scalable applications using Java and Spring Boot, integrating with Salesforce and regulatory technology vendors. Requirements

• Have expertise in Java and Spring Boot, with the ability to deliver highly performant, scalable, high-throughput solutions
• Possess deep expertise in core Java concepts, including the Java Stream API, concurrency, and generics, enabling the development of efficient and robust applications
• Demonstrate proficiency in SQL databases, with the ability to design, implement, and optimize database schemas for high-performance applications
• Have proven experience in building and maintaining multi-threaded applications and services, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
• Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and thrive in both independent and collaborative settings
• Are energized by the challenge of solving complex problems within a rapidly evolving industry, demonstrating adaptability and a thirst for continuous learning
• Apply a data-driven approach to decision-making, leveraging metrics and analytics

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with our product team to ensure efficient iteration and delivery of high-quality results in the Embedded Payments and Onboarding squad
• Have a pragmatic approach that prioritizes simplicity while maintaining effectiveness in all engineering projects
• Ensure that our products are engineered in a future-proof manner, emphasizing the sustainability of product design
• Facilitate the integration of Salesforce into our engineering practices, working closely with Salesforce experts and engineers to ensure seamless integration of this critical tool
• Collaborate with ID&V and RegTech vendors to seamlessly infuse cutting-edge regulatory technology solutions into our engineering ecosystem, ensuring our preparedness to adapt to shifting regulatory requirements
• Contribute to ensuring that our engineering practices remain compliant and up-to-date, playing a crucial role in strengthening our Embedded Payments and Onboarding capabilities
