As a Corporate Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting business decision-making and improving operational efficiency by designing and implementing data architecture and various components of our data analysis platform. You will work with various data sources and technologies, including GCP, BigQuery, and Looker. This role requires at least 3 years of experience in application development or data analysis infrastructure development and a strong understanding of system development fundamentals. Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in application (custom) development or development and operation of components that constitute a data analysis infrastructure
  • Experience in system development using cloud environments such as AWS or GCP
  • Fundamental knowledge of system development (databases, networks, security, etc.)
  • Business-level Japanese language skills

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to business decision-making and operational efficiency through the development and maintenance of a data analysis infrastructure that enables PayPay employees to effectively utilize various internal data
  • Design data architecture
  • Develop and maintain components of the data analysis platform
  • Define KPIs and data (coordinating with internal departments)
  • Develop and improve guidelines, security measures, and operational processes for company-wide data governance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Logical thinking and excellent communication and coordination skills with stakeholders
  • Experience using job schedulers such as AirFlow (Google Cloud Composer), Luigi, or JP1 to develop and operate data marts
  • Experience in designing, developing, and operating large-scale data analysis infrastructure using Redshift, BigQuery, or similar tools
  • Experience in team development with 10 or more members (documentation, Git, communication, project management)
  • Application development experience in Python, Shell Script, or other languages
  • English communication skills (reading/writing)
