Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven experience collaborating with human-centered design experts to craft intuitive, accessible, and responsive interfaces that meet real user needs
- Hands-on experience with Python, especially in contexts where front-end and back-end collaboration is key
- 3+ years of experience working with modern front-end frameworks, with a strong focus on React and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how they support fast, secure, and reliable deployments
- Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs and how to effectively integrate them into complex front-end architectures
- Comfort working in Agile environments, with familiarity in one or more frameworks such as Scrum, Lean, or SAFe
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively across cross-functional teams and with government stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Be on a team supporting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) endeavor to modernize enterprise systemsโ access, reducing manual effort, improving data accuracy, and enhancing transparency for stakeholders. Oh, and utilizing cutting-edge NLP and LLM techniques
- Design and develop high-quality user interfaces for web applications
- Collaborate with UX designers to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the team to integrate APIs and deliver seamless, end-to-end features
- Contribute to design system development by helping to build and maintain a component library that ensures UI consistency and efficiency across applications
- Champion front-end testing using tools like Selenium to ensure application quality and stability
- Participate in code reviews and advocate for front-end standards, maintainability, and performance
- Stay up to date with evolving front-end technologies, bringing fresh ideas and techniques to the team
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity and knowledge of DevOps / DevTestOps / DevSecOps best practices
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and their deployment architectures
