Summary

Join Lyft's Safety & Customer Care organization, a vital part of the company's success. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with various teams to develop and maintain code that prioritizes customer satisfaction. You will write, test, and review code, participate in on-call rotations, and manage project deliverables. This role requires 1-3 years of software engineering experience and proficiency in several programming languages and frameworks. Requirements

  • Minimum 1-3 years of software engineering industry experience
  • BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working with Typescript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Experience working with modern JavaScript frameworks, like React
  • Experience working with Python
  • Experience working with design systems (e.g. Bootstrap, Salesforce Lightning, GitHub Primer)
  • Ability to work with a low-ego, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team

Responsibilities

  • Write well-crafted, well-tested, readable, maintainable code
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation. Identify, triage, debug and resolve issues/bugs across our various applications and platforms
  • Have the ability to explain the various trade offs made in decisions
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

Preferred Qualifications

  • Passionate about improving customer service for the rideshare industry
  • Experience working with contact center services, such as Twilio Flex, Zendesk
