Requirements

  • Significant hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end engineering
  • Experience with projects across many browsers, building back-end services and components such as microservices, databases, or APIs
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
  • Deep experience with JavaScript frameworks, particularly React and Redux. Experience in webpack configurations is helpful
  • Familiarity with CSS-in-JS frameworks such as Styled Components or Emotion
  • Familiar with atomic design and working with designers and UX experts
  • Background in using and developing standard APIs (REST, GraphQL), enabling seamless integration and communication between various software components in Node.js (TypeScript)
  • Proficiency in standards and techniques for web scalability, performance, and security
  • Experience with Azure Cloud, OCR and other AI technologies

Responsibilities

  • Build an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly interface, specifically designed to empower borrowers
  • Develop a suite of tools that enhance productivity and efficiency for our brokers
  • Partner with our Product/UX team to create visual and interaction designs that resonate with our customers, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience
  • Take charge of major segments of our system end to end, demonstrating expertise in both design and delivery. Provide stable, high-quality solutions that stand the test of time
  • Build robust and scalable software as an integral member of our Automate engineering team. Lay the foundation for a resilient and evolving technological framework
  • Commit to writing clean, maintainable code. Prioritise practices that support continuous integration and deployment, adhering to the highest standards and guidelines in software development
  • Contribute to the success of a dynamic, cross-functional Agile team. Foster a collaborative and innovative environment
  • Embrace full ownership of the code you and your team develop. Be proactive in debugging, monitoring, and ensuring the utmost reliability in our production environment
  • Articulate ideas and convey complex information clearly to your team and other teams, including major banks and insurers
