Software Engineer, Full-Stack

Summary

Join Rescale, a high-performance computing company, as a product-focused software engineer. You will own end-to-end delivery of core functionality, build and maintain automation for the customer-facing platform, develop critical product areas (identity management, cloud workstations, job metadata), and build a scalable frontend foundation for internal teams. The role requires 2+ years of full-stack experience with React and Typescript, expertise in web performance optimization and cloud deployment, and a strong user-first mindset. You'll collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers. A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience is needed. Rescale values diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

• 2+ years of full-stack experience building performant, modern UIs using React and Typescript as well as backend web application development
• Expertise or strong interest in the following areas: web performance optimization (including ORM and DB profiling), deploying and scaling web applications using cloud services, application security
• High enthusiasm for supporting both rapid proof-of-concept prototypes as well as robust, mission critical components for both internal and external stakeholders
• Comfortable with ambiguity, strong user-first mindset, and ability to come up with non-regrettable technical solutions
• Flexibility and dedication to work with designers, product managers, and other engineers in a team to ship exceptional software
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of essential, core functionality for Rescale customers as well as rapidly iterating on new product ideas
• Work with your teammates to build and maintain high quality automation for building and testing our main customer-facing platform
• Develop and maintain critical areas of the product including identity management, elastic cloud workstations, and job metadata
• Build a scalable frontend foundation for other internal engineering teams to use
