Remote Software Engineer II

Summary

Join Abnormal Security as a Sr Software Engineer, leading the Customer Journey team for the MPP organization. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining systems to support a world-class user experience for customers.

Requirements

• Experienced Software Engineer having 5+ years of industry experience with strong software engineering fundamentals
• Growth-oriented, looking to increase impact, responsibility, and ownership over time
• Experience writing production Python or Go code
• Proven experience in system design and built applications at scale
• Detail driven and care about code quality, testing, and performance
• Ability to make practical trade-offs and propose technical solutions, including writing technical design documents and leading its adoption
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to work autonomously and asynchronously with remote collaborators and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Build and iterate on product offerings, APIs, platforms, frameworks, and tools
• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining team's owned systems to support a world-class user experience for our customers
• Own the delivery of complex features for a Standing Team -- to design, decompose, execute, and launch
• Conduct thorough testing of applications, including unit testing and integration testing
• Use debugging tools and techniques to diagnose and fix issues in a timely manner
• Participate in regular code and design reviews as well as team-wide on-call rotation
