Summary

Join Braze's Chat Apps team as a Software Engineer and contribute to building and scaling Braze's newest chat messaging channels. You will work with a team to develop new features, enhance performance, and make key architectural decisions. This role requires 2-5 years of full-stack development experience, a strong understanding of distributed systems, and excellent communication skills. Requirements

  • 2-5 years of full-stack development experience
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, data structures and algorithms
  • A self starter with great communication and organizational skills
  • Prior experience working in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Work with your teammates to build out new features
  • Improve performance
  • Provide guidance on key architectural decisions
  • Tackle significant engineering challenges, such as architecting new iterations of critical components for our systems and optimizing our systems for resilience as they scale

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience with any of: Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript
  • Professional experience building distributed systems at scale
  • Experience with agile processes
