Software Engineer III

Summary

Join HackerOne, a global leader in human-powered security, as a Software Engineer III and contribute to building a safer internet. Work with a growing engineering team to innovate and develop features for our community and clients. Collaborate with senior engineers, product managers, designers, and customer success managers. Guide and mentor junior engineers while improving codebases. This remote position, based in the UK or Poland, offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on a project level and across the organization. You will be responsible for translating feature requests into robust engineering solutions and working cross-functionally with various teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering, especially within a SAAS environment
• Experience developing applications with Ruby on Rails or Python
• Proven positive impact in your past professional experience
• Work remotely from United Kingdom, Ireland or Poland

Responsibilities

• Work with the seniors of the team, and with Product Managers and Designers and build delightful features and products for our community, as well as the thousands of companies who trust HackerOne with their cybersecurity posture
• Interact with CSM’s, who are the voice of our customers
• Guide and coach the more junior IC’s
• Identify and make systematic improvements to technical weaknesses you’ll find in your squad’s codebases, and in shared codebases across the company
• Commit code to repositories and develop a knack for being a fast and effective software engineer on our codebase
• Lead projects as Software Engineer
• Develop a good sense of cross-functional collaboration and communication
• Understand the business value of our products and features, and the needs of our customers
• Translate feature requests into simple, but robust engineering (or non-engineering) solutions
• Make an impact on a squad and project level
• Coordinate efforts around new initiatives with the senior engineers

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ReactJS and TypeScript, generative AI, ElasticSearch / OpenSearch, GraphQL
