Software Engineer, Mobile

Summary

Join Vivian Health, a remote-first company transforming healthcare staffing, as a Software Engineer on their Mobile team. You will build high-quality mobile experiences using React Native and TypeScript, leading end-to-end development of features and user flows for iOS and Android applications. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to create scalable, well-tested, and maintainable mobile solutions. Contribute to shared UI components and design systems, focusing on core features like user registration, profile enhancement, and job searches. Work on mobile platform infrastructure, including CI/CD, testing, and dependency management. This role requires 4+ years of advanced mobile development experience with React Native and TypeScript.

Requirements

• 4+ years of advanced mobile development experience using React Native and TypeScript
• Experience with native mobile languages such as Objective-C, Swift, Java, or Kotlin
• Strong understanding of mobile app architecture and performance optimization
• Experience integrating with Redux or other state management solutions
• Familiarity with mobile-specific testing tools and practices
• Experience with expo plugins
• Knowledge of REST APIs, service-oriented architectures, and PostgreSQL
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across remote teams

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build high-quality mobile experiences using React Native and TypeScript
• Lead end-to-end development of features and user flows in our iOS and Android applications
• Ship iteratively, starting from MVP to full-featured implementations
• Architect scalable, well-tested, and maintainable mobile solutions
• Contribute to shared UI components and design systems to ensure consistency across the app
• New user registration
• Existing user profile enhancement
• User job searches and job application flows
• Continuous Integration and build automation
• End-to-end testing and release stability
• Maintaining up-to-date, secure, and performant dependencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Backend experience with NodeJS/Express
• Experience with generative AI and designing agentic user flows that leverage AI to assist or automate user tasks
