Software Engineer - Security Applications

Summary

Join Coalition's Security Engineering Backend team and contribute to the development of APIs for Coalition Control, our user-facing product for cyber risk mitigation. You will design, develop, and test backend implementations, improve API reliability and scalability, and collaborate with product and engineering teams. Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Experienced writing code in modern programming languages, preferably in Python
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey engineering-related topics to team members
• Effective problem-solving skills to analyze and debug code
• Experience with SQL databases and data modeling
• Curiosity and desire to learn about how things work at the deepest levels

Responsibilities

• Be part of a remote team
• Design, develop and test backend implementations of new and existing product features, including features powered by AI
• Improve the reliability and scalability of our backend APIs
• Collaborate with the product team and other engineering teams as we define behavior for new features targeting security professionals

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of HTTP / REST security concepts, including common vulnerabilities
