Software Engineer - Security Applications

Summary

Join Coalition's Security Engineering Backend team as a remote employee and contribute to the development and improvement of backend APIs for Coalition Control, our user-facing product. You will design, develop, and test new and existing product features, collaborate with other teams, and work on projects ranging from APIs to ETL workflows. Our platform primarily uses Python and Go, running on AWS. The role requires experience in modern programming languages (preferably Python), SQL databases, and effective communication skills. Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field
• Experienced writing code in modern programming languages, preferably in Python
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey engineering-related topics to team members
• Effective problem-solving skills to analyze and debug code
• Experience with SQL databases and data modeling
• Curiosity and desire to learn about how things work at the deepest levels

Responsibilities

• Be part of a remote team
• Design, develop and test backend implementations of new and existing product features, including features powered by AI
• Improve the reliability and scalability of our backend APIs
• Collaborate with the product team and other engineering teams as we define behavior for new features targeting security professionals
