Software Engineer-Frontend

Summary

Blackpoint Cyber is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its core product engineering team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based, state-of-the-art solutions on top of customers' ever-evolving landscape of infrastructure in a scalable way. The candidate will be responsible for delivering business-critical outcomes through their product contributions, leading projects across the stack, applying deep understanding of front-end architecture and design patterns, and communicating effectively with leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of front-end development experience, with enterprise-level expertise and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Strong expertise in front-end frameworks, particularly React, Apollo, GraphQL and Typescript, with experience optimizing performance for large-scale applications
• Familiarity with component libraries and design systems, such as Material-UI, Ant Design, or building custom reusable components from scratch
• Experience with performance optimization techniques in React applications, such as code-splitting, lazy loading, and tree-shaking to improve load times and user experience
• Proficiency in testing frameworks and tools like Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Storybook to ensure robust, maintainable front-end code
• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, Nest.js, with a willingness to contribute to full-stack development as needed
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI), automating the deployment and scaling of services across environments
• Experience in cloud-native technologies such as AWS Lambda, with hands-on experience ensuring proper monitoring and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana to maintain system performance and health
• Proficiency in working with containerized microservices architecture, particularly using Kubernetes
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for the behavior of your software in production environments
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring junior developers, particularly in designing, implementing, and executing complex technical projects
• Familiarity and enthusiasm for working in an Agile development environment, collaborating within and across teams
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams, with leadership skills to drive projects forward when necessary
• A commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date with new technologies and industry best practices
• B.S. degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for delivering on business-critical outcomes through your product contributions to our cybersecurity platform
• Lead and drive projects across the stack, with a focus on the front-end UI built in Typescript and React, while also working with backend components such as Node.js services hosted on Kubernetes
