Remote Software Engineering Lead

Summary

The job is for a Software Engineering Lead on Gusto's International Products Team. The role involves developing software solutions to streamline international payment processes and enhance efficiency of payroll services. The employee will write backend (Ruby) and frontend (TypeScript) code, conduct 1:1s with team members, collaborate with peers, and grow technically.

Requirements

At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least a year of team lead responsibilities. Must be physically located and eligible to work in Turkiye. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfort navigating a domain that is frequently ambiguous, and asking for help and clarification when needed. Willingness to timeshift for some overlap with US-based teammates

Responsibilities

Participate in daily 'team times', write backend (Ruby) and frontend (TypeScript) code, collaborate with peers, conduct 1:1s with team members, build software that touches the lives of millions of people and moves billions of dollars

Preferred Qualifications

Existing familiarity with Ruby and TypeScript is a plus!
