Summary
Join Rev.io as a Software Engineer – Team Lead and play a critical role in driving technical execution and team alignment. Serve as the primary technical point of contact, guiding architectural decisions, supporting development, and prioritizing work. This role balances hands-on coding with leadership, mentoring, and collaboration to ensure high-quality software delivery. Lead design discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and partner with product managers to prioritize work based on business goals. Actively contribute to the codebase, mentor team members, and facilitate team collaboration. Ensure consistent implementation of the architectural vision, collaborate on delivering high-quality solutions, and maintain adherence to engineering best practices. Act as the go-to resource for technical questions, troubleshoot issues, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement. Participate fully in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in .NET, SQL, React/TypeScript, and/or Laravel
- Solid understanding of software design principles and patterns
- Experience with code reviews and collaborative development tools
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
- Effective communicator with strong leadership qualities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Passion for learning, growth, and engineering excellence
Responsibilities
- Provide clear technical direction, making final decisions on architecture and implementation as needed
- Lead design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions that align with our long-term vision
- Partner with product managers to prioritize and plan work based on business goals
- Drive sprint planning and backlog refinement to keep the team aligned and focused
- Actively contribute to the codebase, especially in complex or high-impact areas
- Write scalable, maintainable code in .NET, SQL, React/TypeScript, and/or Laravel
- Provide technical mentoring and support to help team members grow
- Hold regular mentorship sessions for junior engineers (Engineer I and below)
- Facilitate team collaboration through working sessions, swarms, and cross-functional initiatives
- Help break down silos and foster an open, communicative team culture
- Ensure the architectural vision is implemented consistently across the team
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver high-quality, user-focused solutions
- Maintain adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines
- Act as the go-to resource for team members when technical questions or blockers arise
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across development and production environments
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve code performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and trends to inform best practices
- Participate fully in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus
- Experience with DevOps practices or CI/CD pipelines is a plus
