Summary

Join Fluency as a Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer and contribute to building best-in-class quality software. This dual-focused role involves manual and automated testing, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and managing timelines and deliverables in a fast-paced startup environment. You will lead testing efforts, build automated tests to prevent bugs, create test plans, and perform stress and load testing. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills and experience in software development and quality assurance. This remote US-based position offers flexibility with the option to work from the Vermont office if preferred.

Requirements

  • 4+ yrs in quality assurance and development ideally and/or proven skills
  • Knowledge of test-driven development methodologies
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, Java & VueJS
  • SQL experience
  • Manual testing experience
  • Test automation experience

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support efforts to conduct manual testing of features and releases
  • Build automated functional and regression testing
  • Create and maintain test plans for new and existing features
  • Perform stress and load testing of applications
  • Keep the team updated on the status of release and communicate obstacles and testing risks
  • Use modern infrastructure tools and platforms to automate our systems
  • Solve challenging problems working with large dataset transformations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g. JMeter)
  • Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g. Postman)
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g. AWS)
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related field
  • Experience with the advertising industry
  • Have passion, come to work and play hard everyday
  • Love feedback and understand iterative development cycles
  • Passion and expertise working with engineering, product, and marketing teams
  • Knowledge of current development strategies and trends relating to web applications
  • Drive for success
