Software Test Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Developer position focusing on software testing and test automation in Australia. The role involves designing test cases, performing manual and automated testing, and collaborating with the development team. The required skills include NodeJS, Javascript/Typescript, E2E API Testing, SDLC, agile development, defect tracking tools like JIRA, experience in software testing, test methodology, and test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Appium, TestComplete), cloud-based testing environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), and CI/CD using tools like GitHub Actions.

Requirements

• A solid Developer with experience in NodeJS and Javascript/Typescript
• Knowledge of E2E API Testing
• Strong understanding of SDLC, agile development, and defect tracking tools like JIRA
• Experience in software testing, test methodology, and test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Appium, TestComplete)
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with CI/CD using tools like GitHub Actions

Responsibilities

• Design test cases
• Perform manual and automated testing
• Report and track software defects and fixes
• Work closely with the development team to ensure high quality and timely delivery of software
• Contribute to the development of automated testing frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness
• Help in the development of an Automated API testing framework and collaborate with Engineers to incorporate test cases into the automated testing suite
