Summary
Join Advanced Automation Corporation (AAC) as a Software Tester/Jr Developer and contribute to the quality assurance and documentation of the Distributive Learning (DL) application. You will work with a development team, performing testing audits on interactive multimedia instruction (IMI). Responsibilities include collaborating with developers on testing and documentation, ensuring accessibility, and supporting data export and LMS delivery. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience, along with specific experience in SCORM and digital learning development. Preferred qualifications include experience with JavaScript, SCSS, and package managers. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
- 3 + years of experience developing successful SCORM® 2004 3rd Edition scoring distributed learning (DL)
- 1 + years of experience developing successful digital Learning and user experience systems for interactive multimedia instruction (IMI) computer managed instruction, mobile learning, serious gaming, and simulations
- Sound knowledge of graphic and interactive design principles
- Exposure to and basic knowledge of Section 508 compliance
- Demonstrates the ability to monitor and contribute to agile production sprints
Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Lead Software Developer
- Assist in the day-to-day program operations, as required
- Serve as part of collaborative teams to address capability gaps or inefficiencies, as required
- Exercise expert communications to build trust and working relationships within AAC’s established communications protocol
- Collaborate with the Development Team and aid in the testing of all Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI)
- Support both Software Developers with testing and documenting activities for the SCO framework
- Support Software Developer I with the testing and development of SCSS
- Collaborate with the Software Developer I for testing the responsive design of all activities and components
- Collaborate with the Software Developer I for testing the cross-browser design of all activities and components
- Aid in testing components for accessibility
- Conduct self QA on their testing documentation prior to submitting for review
- Support Software Developers in mid-level QA prior to submission for Final QA
- Support effort to export data and assets from the content management system
- Support delivery and testing of the product on the LMS
- Work collaboratively with team members of all levels to meet client expectations and produce high quality deliverables
- Ensure timeliness while working on tasks throughout an agile product lifecycle
- Perform other related duties and assignments as assigned by supervisor/manager
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience with testing JavaScript front-end systems (React and Redux are preferred)
- Proven experience with testing SCSS design systems centered around a front-end framework (Bootstrap is preferred)
- Proven experience working with package managers such as NPM
