Solution Architect

Summary

Join VetsEZ as a Solution Architect to contribute to the modernization and integration of enterprise systems for a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) project. Lead technical design, guide implementation teams, and ensure alignment with architectural standards and business objectives. This role demands architectural leadership for product development and maintenance, designing scalable solutions across various environments. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is crucial, as is hands-on guidance during implementation. You will also create technical documentation and analyze interactions between legacy and modern systems. The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 7+ years of relevant experience, and strong technical expertise in cloud, network/infrastructure, DevOps/Agile, and software engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Broad technical expertise in: Cloud (AWS/Azure), Network/infrastructure architecture, DevOps/Agile development, Software engineering and system integration
• Experience with Data management and API architecture
• Experience creating innovative, scalable solutions within an enterprise environment

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural leadership for product development, maintenance, and modernization
• Design scalable and reliable solutions across cloud, network, and infrastructure environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., developers, analysts, project managers) to ensure solution alignment
• Guide hands-on configuration and development efforts to support implementation
• Create technical documentation, including architectural and boundary diagrams
• Analyze interactions between legacy and modern systems and assess solution impact
• Support incident response and lifecycle management for infrastructure services

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VA, federal agencies, or healthcare systems
• Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, EDI)
• Background in SaaS implementation and software development
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to obtain government clearance
