Summary

Join Pulumi as a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead a global Pre-Sales Engineering team and drive team performance, support pre-sales technical motions, and foster strong partnerships with sales, marketing, product, and executive leadership teams.

Requirements

  • 3+ years proven experience in a leadership role, managing customer facing technical teams, solutions architects, technical support or professional services teams
  • Experience in a technical customer-facing role, including positions such as solutions engineering or post-sales consulting. This experience encompasses addressing client needs, providing technical guidance, and ensuring successful implementation and support of technical solutions to support pre-sales opportunities
  • Deep familiarity with core cloud-based infrastructure, application modernization, Open Source technologies, and public and private cloud platforms
  • Strong understanding of technology solutions, customer success, and enterprise software
  • Experience working with Sales, Marketing, Product and Executive teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Impeccable written, verbal, and in-person communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture that aligns with company values and goals
  • Lead, mentor, and managed a team of 6 to 10 Solutions Architects, ensuring high performance and continuous professional growth
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and develop personalized growth plans for team members
  • Drive initiatives to increase product awareness across our customer base by developing and executing strategic plans
  • Partner with the sales team to review customer opportunities and bring technical evaluations to successful conclusion
  • Work closely with architects to understand customer needs, challenges, and opportunities, ensuring tailored solutions are provided
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product teams and Executive Leadership to align strategies and enhance customer experience
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to ensure cohesive customer engagement
  • Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, customer feedback, and market data to refine strategies and achieve business goals
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process for new team members, ensuring a strong, skilled and diverse team
