Spanish-English Interpreter and Translator

Summary

The job involves providing simultaneous interpretation between English and Spanish during online and in-person activities, coordinating with the USDA Caribbean Climate Hub to schedule translation services, setting up and managing translation booths and headsets during in-person events, and ensuring accurate and effective communication while adhering to established interpretation protocols.

Requirements

• Fluent in both Spanish and English (oral and written), with a deep understanding of Puerto Rican history, culture, and dialect
• Proven experience in accurately translating and interpreting complex technical conversations and documents
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively with event organizers
• Proficient in the simultaneous translation of complex scientific topics between Spanish and English
• Experience with online platforms such as Zoom and Teams for interpretation services

Responsibilities
