Special Situations Apprentice

Summary

Join Prosek Partners' Special Situations Apprentice Program and launch your career in financial communications. This 6-month program is designed to train the next generation of PR agency professionals, offering real work experience, professional development, and internal network support.

Requirements

• Completed BS/BA degree by the start of the program
• Strong interest in financial services, professional services, technology, and B2B communications
• Strong interest in “special situations work” including mergers & acquisitions, shareholder activism, crisis and litigation support, and more
• Strong analytical, research, written, and verbal skills
• Possess a team player mindset and willingness to work collaboratively
• Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced culture
• Have solid research and critical thinking skills along with strong time management and prioritization skills
• Extreme attention to detail is a must

Responsibilities

• Do daily monitoring and analysis of key trends and activity impacting current and potential transaction activity
• Provide ongoing updates and customization of pitch decks
• League table tracking and submission
• Project management, tracking and reporting
• Learn to monitor SEC and legal filings
• Secure relevant media opportunities on behalf of clients, including embargoed media exclusives around strategic announcements
• Assist Prosek team with client media prep sessions
• Develop a keen understanding and knowledge of the media landscape
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with reporters who cover your clients’ transactions/announcements
• Deliver first drafts of external and internal client communications, including but not limited to: press releases, messaging, memos, fight letters, FAQ/Q&A, fact sheets, investor presentations, talking points, management scripts, media briefing materials, and related transaction documents, etc
