Summary
Join Nielsen's Gracenote team as a Sports Schedule Editor! You'll be responsible for maintaining and updating sports schedules and database information for various channels and platforms. Requirements
- Graduate in any field
- Knowledge or experience writing about sports events
- Strong Knowledge of Spanish & English grammar: Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office and/or G-Suites
- Good internet research abilities
- A quality-focused individual with a high level of attention to detail
- Able to work in a self-directed and fast-paced environment
- Ready to work in a 24/7 operation, including evening and weekend shifts
- Be organized and possess the ability to set priorities
- Inquisitive and learning attitude
- Logical thought process
- Must live in the Mexico City surrounding area with the ability to commute to the office. The role is remote, however, if offered the role you will be required to attend a 2-day onsite orientation & onboarding
Responsibilities
- Edit and maintain TV schedules and database information for satellite, cable, and pay-per-view channels for sports channels
- Research, confirm, and compile missing or inaccurate information about sports competitions
- Maintain accurate information in the database and update outdated content
- Ensure the accuracy of database information
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate and reliable information
- Initiate and maintain effective relationships with programming information providers and channels
- Research and complete information such as participating teams or athletes, competition name and venue, and other relevant data
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in journalism, editing, or translations will be considered a plus
- Able to deal with stress and time pressure, and able to make quick decisions
- Able to identify reliable, accurate data from sources
- Solid communication and time-management skills required
- Has excellent computer skills
- Has excellent written and verbal English skills
- Quality-focused individuals with a high level of attention to detail
