SQL Engineer Developer, Remote - United States

Summary

The job is for a Senior SQL Engineer Developer to support the United States Army Reserve Command (USARC) military pay and personnel operations. The role involves modernizing and re-engineering automated and semi-automated business processes and the USAR Pay Management Division (PMD).

Requirements

• Master's Degree with 10 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 12 years experience
• DoDI 8570 IAT II Certification (e.g. Security+ CE) upon starting

Responsibilities

• Implement SQL software features across all layers of the Microsoft technology stack
• Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports, and queries
• Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop relational databases and secondary databases
• Identify inefficiencies in current databases
• Develop and maintain database stored procedures, views, and functions for hosted web applications
• Produce ad hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs
• Create and maintain technical documentation; produces design artifacts such as class diagram and entity relationship diagrams, data dictionary, etc
• Implement data dashboards to display data in differing formats
• Participate in designing, maintaining, enhancing, and coding relational databases
• Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development
• Analyze and determine information needs and elements; data relationships and attributes; data flow and storage requirements; and data output and reporting capabilities
• Coordinate new data development ensuring consistency and integration with existing data warehouse structure
• Tests designed applications
• Perform SQL performance tuning tasks
