Summary

The job is for a Sales Compensation Analyst at Cars Commerce. The role involves leading the team in calculating sales commissions, analyzing compensation plans, training sales leaders, creating and implementing policies, maintaining data accuracy, and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the team in the monthly calculation and accurate payment for all sales commissions
  • Model potential comp plan design changes to determine cost impact
  • Conduct regular analysis to determine compensation plan effectiveness
  • Train and educate sales leaders and front line sellers on the compensation plans and tools used to communicate compensation results
  • Create, amend and implement compensation policies related to the launch of new products, short term incentive programs and the evolution of the business
  • Maintain timely and accurate sales compensation data
  • Write Sales Incentive Plan documentation that defines and explains how compensation plans work and how sellers will be paid
  • Drive continuous improvement, meet deadlines and quickly resolve all inquiries from the sales team on compensation calculations and completeness
  • Using compensation system and/or spreadsheets, help calculate and validate monthly commission payments for sales employees based on Sales Compensation plan
  • Make recommendations for changes to compensation systems or process to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Update and maintain all sales employees records. This includes new hires, terminations, pay changes, role changes, team changes, etc
  • Lead the team in the preparation of monthly and quarterly sales compensation accruals and reconciliations, using Excel and Finance tools
  • Actively lead and participate in User Acceptance Testing activities associated with new plan implementations to ensure that systems are properly configured when adjustments are made to current compensation plans or new compensation plans are implemented each year
  • Support audit deliverables related to compensation payouts and provide assistance related to Sarbanes-Oxley testing of sales compensation processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep interest in analyzing data, with the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and responsiveness
  • Strong PC/Technical Skills: Advanced Tableau, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, GSuite preferred
