Requirements

  • An active US Department of Defense or Intelligence SECRET clearance, with a willingness to upgrade to TS/SCI if needed
  • A BS degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • 4+ years of experience as a DevOps or DevSecOps Engineer, or equivalent software-engineering role
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, partner vendors, end users, and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with cloud services (AWS or Azure) and Terraform
  • Experience with Keycloak, SSO, Federated Identity Management, and US Government authentication systems
  • Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools
  • Working knowledge of databases, both SQL and NoSQL, and related data structures
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc
  • Experience with iterative development processes, thriving in dynamic and agile environments
  • CompTIA Secruity + Certification is required

Responsibilities

  • Deploy the Yurts product on US government cloud environments using Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
  • Architect, implement, and maintain an installer for installing our software in an on-prem environment with re-using as many components as possible between that and the cloud version
  • Implement, manage, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across different environments
  • Develop automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, backing up, patching and deploying services
  • Prepare packages required for Authorization to Operate (ATO), Certification to Field (CTF), and other security requirements presented by US Government Risk Management Frameworks (RMF)
  • Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities for mission-critical applications
  • Collaborate with product DevOps team to establish best practices and company-wide guidelines
  • Work closely with the software engineering team to integrate their project deliverables into customer production cloud and/or on-prem environments
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and work with customer, partner, and internal development teams to identify root causes and resolve them
  • Implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime
  • Stay current with new technologies and recommend innovative solutions that increase value and improve efficiency
  • Enforce compliance with security best practices and policies
  • Participate in the creation of the company's strategic IT roadmap. This position may require travel depending on your location

Preferred Qualifications

  • An MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
  • An active US Department of Defense or Intelligence TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience with containerization and deployment of Machine Learning models is a plus
