Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in mortgage processing or a related area
• Deep understanding of loan origination, credit evaluation, and mortgage industry regulations
• Familiarity with both government and conventional underwriting criteria
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with loan processing software and other essential programs like Calyx, Encompass, and nCino
• In-depth knowledge of VA loans, including VA IRRRL, VA purchase, and VA cash-out options
• Have a solid grasp of Verification of Mortgage (VOM), Employment (VOE), and Rent (VOR)
• Are adept at analyzing corporate tax returns and real estate schedules

Responsibilities

• Manage mortgage loan applications from start to finish
• Conduct thorough reviews of loan documentation and financial details for accuracy and completeness
• Verify borrower information, employment history, and credit profiles to ensure reliability
• Collaborate with borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters to collect necessary paperwork and address any discrepancies
• Prepare comprehensive loan files for underwriting and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and guidelines
• Coordinate with title companies, appraisers, and third-party vendors to streamline the closing process
• Keep meticulous records of all loan activities and maintain up-to-date loan statuses in our system
