Sr. Mechanical Superintendent

Summary

The Senior Mechanical Superintendent-Solar Tracker/Module is responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring safety, productivity, and quality work in solar PV projects. This position requires extensive travel and a minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in utility-scale construction projects.

Requirements

• Regular attendance
• Direct solar/construction personnel and installation subcontractors
• Coordinate personnel, material, and equipment
• Support the team with planning and utilization of proper means and methods
• Analyze situations, identify problems, and evaluate options
• Follow and implement the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental Policy
• Identify welding certification, training, and experience appropriate for assignment scope
• Coordinate and implement resources and activities necessary to maintain a safe and quality execution
• Assure all work undertaken is within approved scope boundaries and is in full compliance
• Coordinate with supplier testing & commissioning teams
• Advise site teams on paper work needed collected to initiate commissioning
• Identify testing required per projects scope of work
• Communicate with engineering parties to meet commissioning requirements
• Manage manpower needed to complete project assignment
• Maintain and supervise tool room and keep adequate storage
• Coordination with material manager for all tracker / module components
• Quality assurance of pile / tracker / module functionality
• Progress tracking reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in solar PV or wind power projects
• Experience installing a wide range of different manufacturer single-axis trackers

Benefits

• $115,000 - $135,000 a year base salary
