Sr. Software Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Senior Software Engineer at AKASA, a leading healthcare AI company. The role involves integrating analytics into customer-facing applications, improving data platform infrastructure, and adding data pipelines. The employee will work in a cross-functional team and have opportunities to mentor less senior team members.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering, or similar
• 5-7+ years of software engineering or data engineering experience
• Strong professional experience in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, C#, Ruby, Kotlin
• Strong SQL experience
• Cloud computing experience (AWS preferably)

Responsibilities

• Integrate analytics and reporting output directly into customer-facing applications
• Improve upon the existing data platform infrastructure and add data pipelines to support internal and external data requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python
• Data platforms, data pipelines, or comparable services
• Data Warehouses (Amazon Redshift preferably)
• Scheduling/orchestration technologies such as Prefect or Airflow
• Kubernetes
• BI tools (Tableau/Looker/Quicksight/SuperSet etc)
