Requirements

  • Have proven work experience as a WordPress developer using custom built themes
  • Have at least 4+ years of experience working as a WordPress Developer
  • Be an expert in CSS animations and have a portfolio of production websites with CSS animations
  • Have bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any related field
  • Know the basics of WordPress Template Hierarchy
  • Apply Basic SEO Integration to the WordPress project
  • Be proficient in front-end technologies including SASS, CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, AlpineJS, jQuery
  • Be proficient in backend developments such as WordPress, PHP, MySQL, API integrations, JSON, and XML
  • Be proficient in CSS Frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation, or TailwindCSS
  • Be experienced in GIT workflows and code versioning tools such as Git, Github or Gitlab
  • Be proficient in customizing the WordPress development using the following: ACF, Gutenberg, Custom components, Yoast SEO, Gravity Forms, Custom plugins
  • Have basic knowledge of Web Apps for site maintenance such Google Analytics and Tag Manager
  • Be adept in using SEO Figma, Sketch, Invision, GIT, WPEngine, Pardot and HubSpot, and various web compliance standards
  • Have good experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
  • Have good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of current web development standards, protocols, and processes
  • Document and create user guide(s) for various websites using an existing template/format
  • Have experience with Webflow
  • Be a team player
  • Have the ability to manage projects
  • Have experience with responsive and adaptive design principles
  • Have the ability to work in a team and communicate effectively
  • Have high attention to detail
  • Have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties
  • Be willing to install next-generation endpoint protection on the computer
  • Be willing to work in US Pacific time zone (8:00am-5:00pm PST) corresponding to 12:00am -9:00am PH time
  • Be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there

Responsibilities

  • Create the website architecture (WordPress Dashboard, using but not limited to ACF, Gutenberg blocks)
  • Design and build the website front-end by using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Create an immersive experience for the user using micro animations while maintaining excellent Lightspeed performance scores
  • Design and manage the website back-end including database and server integration
  • Integrate data from various front/back-end services and databases using REST-API
  • Generate custom WordPress themes and plugins
  • Navigate and utilize the WPEngine dashboard (including but not limited to updating, hosting and domain setup/integration)
  • Monitor the performance of the live website (using tools such as Page Speed Insights, GTMetrix, and other related tools)
  • Create and integrate quality assurance tests to ensure website success and security
  • Collaborate with the development team to develop and maintain the website(s)
  • Conduct WordPress training with the client (when needed)
  • Stay up to date on technology
  • Attend regular meetings/check-ins with the dev team, project managers and business stakeholders
  • Perform other ad hoc duties related to the role as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience in ReactJS, VueJS and GSAP
  • Knowledge and experience in API integrations, React, VUE, Nuxt, SEO, Shopify, WooCommerce, HubSpot, Headless CMS, Drupal, Joomla
