Remote Staff Backend Engineer

Summary

Assured is seeking experienced backend engineers to join their team in modernizing insurance claims processing. The role involves owning large areas of the platform, writing code, architecting infrastructure, designing testing mechanisms, and leading other engineers.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience preferred
• Experience building and scaling high-quality products and codebases from early stages to maturity
• A strong engineering background and history of designing systems

Responsibilities

• Own large areas of the Assured platform, from business logic to data modeling to infrastructure
• Write lots of code: Conceptualize, build, test, and ship new products and features for our customers
• Architect and implement large-scale infrastructure improvements
• Design and utilize new testing mechanisms and procedures
• Create reliable systems and high-leverage abstractions that enable faster product velocity
• Lead, mentor, and learn from other engineers on our growing team
