Staff Engineer, Developer Relations

Summary

The job is for a Developer Relations Engineer at the Sui Foundation, responsible for engaging with the developer community, providing technical guidance, and creating training materials. The role requires 7+ years of software engineering experience, strong communication skills, and interest in Web3. Preferred qualifications include prior DevRel experience, blockchain/cryptography knowledge, and proficiency in Move or Rust programming languages.

Requirements

• 7+ years of Software Engineering or combination of Software and DevRel Experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interest in Web3

Responsibilities

• Understand the community's goals, and provide technical expertise and direction to help developers navigate their journey of building on Sui
• Create and own the feedback loop between the community and the network
• Translate developer feedback into meaningful product insights for future product development
• Develop and deliver remote and in-person training sessions and workshops for new and existing Sui developers
• Cultivate and grow the local developer community

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-3 years prior DevRel experience
• Experience with blockchain, cryptography and/or Web3 engineering
• Experience with Move and/or Rust programming language(s)
