Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience in full-stack design, with a strong focus on growth and funnel optimization
- Proven experience designing complex, interconnected systems and products
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially within cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated proficiency in translating research findings into design solutions
- Familiarity with service design principles and user-centered research
- Experience defining and prioritizing high-value projects that impact product roadmaps
Responsibilities
- Lead design strategy and execution for growth initiatives, owning key acquisition touchpoints across Gusto.com and campaign-driven experiences
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Product, Marketing) to craft and test data-driven hypotheses
- Drive personalized user journey design tailored to diverse personas and customer needs
- Develop and execute experimentation programs to optimize user flow and inform decisions
- Translate quantitative and qualitative data into actionable design insights
- Utilize Gustoβs design system to ensure consistency across all growth-focused projects
- Advocate for customer-first, empathetic design thinking to maintain trust and engagement
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to mentor and coach other designers
- HR, Payroll, Healthcare, or Fintech industry experience is a plus, particularly in payments or risk management

- Cash compensation range for this role is $147,000/yr to $199,000/yr in Denver & most remote locations, and $179,000/yr to $221,000/yr in San Francisco, Seattle & New York
