Staff Product Engineer

Summary

Join Garner, a rapidly growing healthcare company, as a Staff Software Engineer to build core systems for client onboarding and reporting. You will collaborate with product and design teams, lead technical strategy, support production systems, and ensure user privacy and security. This fully remote position requires 7+ years of full-stack software development experience and expertise in TypeScript or modern JavaScript. The ideal candidate will have experience with various technologies including React, NodeJS, Docker, and cloud providers. Garner offers a competitive salary ($230,000-$250,000), equity incentives, and benefits including flexible PTO, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and Teladoc.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on work delivering full-stack software
• Expertise in TypeScript (preferred) or modern JavaScript
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate design rationale and concepts
• Excellent understanding of SQL and data modeling
• Familiarity with React, NodeJS, Docker, and a major cloud provider
• Familiarity with data ecosystems - DBT, Snowflake, Python
• Experience with one or more database systems, especially PostgreSQL or ElasticSearch
• Experience working in a team using Agile methodologies and fluency with the Agile toolkit
• Experience mentoring team members and acting as a technical multiplier
• A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
• Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment
• A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system
• Authorization to work lawfully in the United States of America as Garner does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time
