Staff Software Engineer

Summary

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend/full-stack development experience through the entire software lifecycle
• Deep expertise in designing and scaling large-scale, high-traffic systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Experience working on AI projects with 3rd party LLM providers, such as OpenAI, Azure, Anthropic
• Strong technical leadership in cloud-based distributed system architectures
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs for external developers
• A passion for efficiency, with excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Extensive success mentoring and providing technical leadership to engineering teams

Responsibilities

• Execute high-leverage projects that unlock unique new product capabilities, improve development velocity, reduce technical debt, and enhance overall system performance
• Shape and guide architectural decisions to ensure scalability, reliability, and long-term sustainability of Ada’s systems
• Set and uphold high standards for code quality, system design, and operational health across the organization
• Act as a multiplier by coaching engineers, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth
• Partner with cross-functional teammates to align large technical initiatives with business objectives
