Staff Software Engineer

Summary

Join our Communications Platform squad in the Patient pillar as a Staff Software Engineer to leverage consumer best practices to deliver a superior experience. The role involves supporting engineers with technical mentorship, performing hands-on coding, code and design reviews, driving org-level changes to improve existing processes, infrastructure, architecture, business problems, developer happiness, etc. This is a remote-friendly position.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong computer science fundamentals - a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or similar experience
• Expertise in at least one major coding language
• Experience leading technical projects across the stack and building for supportability and long-term maintenance
• Experience influencing cross-functional decision making across product and design teams
• Experience mentoring engineers across levels
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts simply

Responsibilities

• Support engineers with technical mentorship, and perform hands-on coding, code and design reviews
• Support your counterparts on the product and client success teams on understanding and solving product gaps, formulating technical strategy, and enhancing the communications platform
• Drive org-level changes to improve existing processes, infrastructure, architecture, business problems, developer happiness, etc
