Summary
Join Datadog's Error Tracking team as a Staff Engineer to lead new projects like Backend Crash Tracking and advanced impact analysis. You will collaborate with engineering and product managers, shaping the roadmap and driving initiatives across the stack. As a technical leader, you'll guide other engineers, make architectural decisions, and prioritize engineering planning. This role requires 10+ years of relevant engineering experience and 4+ years of technical leadership. Datadog offers a hybrid workplace and values its office culture. Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
- 4+ years of technical leadership experience, including both effective communication of complex concepts and experience coordinating across teams to ship critical products
- Significant backend programming experience. You have architected, built, and operated complex backend systems to solve problems at high scale
- A customer-focused mindset and a relentless drive to build products that address their needs
- Willingness to dig deep into specifics of how errors are emitted by various languages in collaboration with our language experts
Responsibilities
- Design and drive high-priority, high-visibility projects to build the best error tracking platform on the market
- Provide technical leadership across organizational boundaries to ensure maximum delivery efficiency
- Lead and guide other engineers through architectural platform decisions
- Provide input on prioritizing engineering-led planning and roadmaps
- Collaborate with internal product teams to design solutions that meet our customer needs
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on large datasets on topics like correlation or pattern matching
