Summary

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • 4+ years of technical leadership experience, including both effective communication of complex concepts and experience coordinating across teams to ship critical products
  • Deep backend programming expertise β€” you’ve architected, built, and operated complex systems at scale
  • Customer-first mindset and a strong drive to build products that meet real needs
  • You care deeply about product quality and have clear, thoughtful perspectives on how things should work
  • You value simplicity and clean design in systems, interfaces, and user experiences
  • You have a track record of taking full ownership of ambiguous and complex problems and turning them into solutions that deliver real value

Responsibilities

  • Design and drive high-priority, high-visibility projects to make APM the best performance insights product on the market
  • Provide technical leadership across organizational boundaries to ensure maximum delivery efficiency
  • Support and guide other engineers through product and architectural platform decisions
  • Provide input on prioritizing engineering-led planning and roadmaps
  • Collaborate with internal product teams to design solutions that meet our customer needs
  • Recognize meaningful problems to solve, prototype what a solution would look like and drive the implementation end to end
  • Build customer empathy by talking directly to customers
  • Share thoughtful perspectives on how the user experience should look like and collaborate with UX designers and to drive improvements
