Summary

Join our team at Gemini as a Staff Software Engineer in the Onchain domain and contribute to enhancing and expanding the features of our blockchain-based products. As a key member of our engineering team, you will participate in solutioning for new features and products, help drive innovation, and set the technical direction within your product team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in software development with languages such as: Java, C++ or Scala
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining large-scale, distributed systems
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and a commitment to following best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and microservices architecture

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of new features for your product team’s systems
  • Research and integrate new blockchain technologies, concepts, and solutions
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of our systems
  • Work with your team’s Engineering Manager to drive a team culture focused on Operational Excellence
  • Maintain the high quality of your team’s code through code reviews
  • Grow the capabilities of the team by mentoring junior engineers to level-up their technical and engineering skills
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the crypto and blockchain space

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the crypto or fintech industry
  • Understanding of blockchain technologies and crypto wallets
  • Leadership experience or a strong interest in mentoring junior team members
