Staff Software Engineer

Summary

Join HubSpot as a Staff Software Engineer and tackle high-impact challenges within the Objects Source of Truth Pillar, responsible for the core data stores of the HubSpot CRM. You will work on reducing the load on critical HBase clusters and potentially migrating to a new database technology. This role requires experience with large-scale data processing using technologies like Kafka and HBase. As a senior individual contributor, you will mentor engineers, provide strategic direction for major projects, and lead by example. Requirements

• Experienced with large-scale, real-time data processing using technologies such as Kafka and storage systems such as HBase, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Apache Pinot, and ClickHouse
• Have deep urgency and a desire to get things done
• Have a history of developing solutions to problems that have had an outsized impact on a large organization’s business goals
• Care deeply about reliability and complexity reduction
• Demonstrate pragmatic decision-making and problem-solving abilities
• Be capable of providing strategic direction for major projects, and then diving in and leading by example

Benefits

• Annual Cash Compensation Range: $227,400 — $363,800 USD
• In addition to cash compensation, some roles are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs)
• Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay
