Summary

Join NBCUniversal's Project Keystone, a multi-year initiative transforming its business platform. This Staff Software Engineer role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based enterprise solutions using SAP BTP. You will collaborate with clients, gather business requirements, and translate them into technical solutions. The position requires strong SAP BTP development skills and experience with SAP integration. Requirements

  • Education degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an information technology focus, or an equivalent combination of education and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Strong development skills in SAP BTP and its component tools and former SAP integration tools
  • Experience as an Architect/Senior consultant with a total of 8+ years SAP integration (development) experience including 4+ years as a Team Lead
  • Experience with designing and consuming REST APIs to integrate with external systems
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues and provide effective solutions
  • Thorough understanding of working with database systems to develop and enhance SAP HANA technical requirements
  • Experience working with the following tools: Advance Event Mesh, API management and Edge Integration
  • Experience working with waterfall, scrum/agile methodologies
  • Ability to perform monitoring tasks to ensure business continuity
  • Thorough understanding of change management procedures using cloud transport management
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to assess performance, support in monitoring and tracing to make recommendations for improvement
  • Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients and stakeholders to gather business requirements and be able to persuade them with certain ideas on as needed basis
  • Resource must have order to cash (OTC) functional and domain experience
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for SAP BTP solutions
  • Architect and design cloud-based applications on SAP BTP, selecting appropriate services like integration flows, data pipelines, and microservices based on project requirements
  • Code and implement applications using relevant SAP BTP development tools
  • Provide estimates for technical work effort when required and ensure high-quality and on-schedule deliverables
  • Responsible for developing integration solutions between SAP and non-SAP systems
  • Mentor and train application developers keeping in mind NBCU’s Operations and Technology goals in mind to foster a high performing engineering team

  • Possess interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate in a team environment
  • Be able to complete work with little guidance
  • Confirmed ability to be flexible and agile, both independently and as part of a team
  • Has demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant SAP technical certification a plus
