Summary

Join Ontra, a leading AI legal tech company, as a Staff Software Engineer reporting to the Director of Engineering. Ontra offers a competitive compensation package, including a base pay range of $200,000-$300,000 USD, equity grants, and various benefits.

Requirements

  • Expertise: 10+ years in software engineering, 6+ years developing in Ruby on Rails, and 3+ years with React
  • Results-driven approach: Proven experience delivering features and solutions that have a direct impact on revenue growth, savings, or operational efficiencies
  • Problem Solving Skills: Ability to tackle complex technical problems with creativity and efficiency
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication across technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Exploration: Play a crucial role in helping Ontra explore and prototype solutions. Contribute to discovering new solutions to problems
  • Contribute to Engineering Culture: Provide engineering prospective and help set engineering best practices
  • Set Technical Direction: Speak for Ontra's technology and engineering culture. Take a long term and pragmatic view of technological progress and how to maintain Ontra's technology stack
  • Be The Glue: Help teams by doing the invisible and unneeded tasks needed to effectively ship software and proactively spot risks
